1. Definition: Pure aluminum: Pure aluminum is divided into three categories according to its purity: high-purity aluminum, industrial high-purity aluminum and industrial pure aluminum. Welding is mainly industrial pure aluminum, the purity of industrial pure aluminum is 99.7% to 98.8%, and its grades are L1.L2.L3.L4.L5.L6.

Aluminum alloy: Aluminum alloy is obtained by adding alloy elements to pure aluminum.

1××× series: pure aluminum (aluminum content not less than 99.00%)

2××× series: aluminum alloy with copper as the main alloying element

3××× series: aluminum alloy with manganese as the main alloying element

5××× series: aluminum alloy with magnesium as the main alloying element (common series for industrial electronic products)

3. Application:

AL1100 is used for processing parts that require good formability and high corrosion resistance but do not require high strength, such as chemical products, food industry equipment and storage containers, thin plate processing parts, deep drawing or spinning concave vessels, welding parts, heat exchangers, printing plates, nameplates, reflective equipment.

AL5052 is the most representative alloy with medium strength, with good corrosion resistance, weldability and formability, especially high fatigue strength and good seawater resistance. It is used to manufacture aircraft fuel tanks, oil pipes, sheet metal parts of transportation vehicles and ships, instruments, street lamp brackets and rivets, hardware products, etc.

AL6063 is a representative alloy for extrusion. It has lower strength than 6061, good extrusion performance, and can be used to make profiles with complex cross-sections. It has excellent corrosion resistance and surface treatment properties. It is used in buildings, highway guardrails, high railings, vehicles, furniture, home appliances, and decorations.
