Currently, there are two types of copper materials used in Changdong company: phosphor bronze and brass.
Advantages and disadvantages:
1. Copper price
Phosphor bronze is more expensive than brass
2. Conductive properties of copper
2.1. Brass has good conductivity, and the conductivity coefficient of 65 brass is: 27. Phosphor bronze has only low conductivity, and its best conductivity coefficient is: 20.
2.2 The thermal conductivity of brass is: 67, and the thermal conductivity of phosphor bronze is: 50.
2.3. The elasticity of brass will change significantly when the use temperature exceeds 75 degrees. The elasticity of phosphor bronze will change significantly when the temperature exceeds 125 degrees. In other words, in low-temperature products, there is no difference between the elasticity of brass and phosphor bronze.
2.4. According to the national standard requirements of the electrical industry, the temperature rise of electrical products under normal use conditions cannot exceed 70 degrees (45K+25), that is, the temperature of the product hardware will not exceed its elastic deformation temperature.
3. Mechanical properties
When making phosphor bronze hardware molds, there is no need to consider the alignment direction, while brass needs to consider the angle between the grain and the socket opening. If the alignment and grain direction of the brass hardware mold are wrong, the excellent elastic properties of brass will be lost.
